Dr. Bonny Moore is board certified in hematology, oncology, and internal medicine and joined the HOAF family in 2017. Dr. Moore completed her undergraduate studies with a double major in Chemistry and French at the University of Virginia. With a desire to pursue a career in healthcare, she earned her Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA, and her fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at VCU Health System/Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Moore has a deep passion for helping her patients heal. She draws upon her love of family and respect for others to treat her patients with empathy and understanding. She values building genuine connections with her patients and prioritizes getting to know them on a personal level.
Outside of the office, Dr. Moore enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, son, and their pets. In addition to helping people, Dr. Moore also loves nurturing animals, as she has three dogs and six cats. She routinely volunteers at local animal shelters. Additionally, Dr. Moore is an avid football and basketball fan and attends as many UVA games as possible.
