Dr. Lisa Simmons is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine and brings worldly experience to her HOAF patients. Before tending to the care of individuals in Fredericksburg and Stafford, VA, Dr. Simmons served as a physician for the US Embassy in Cambodia.
Dr. Simmons has a rich educational training background, as she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia. From there, she completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine along with her Oncology Fellowship at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
In her free time, Dr. Simmons enjoys spending time with her four kids. When she isn’t tending to her patients or supervising her kids’ homework assignments, she enjoys solo hikes on the Appalachian trials.
